General Details on this Teaming Opportunity

The planned project includes all labor, materials, tools and equipment to install and make operable Lenel access card readers on five interior doors in Building 70 at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System in accordance with drawings and specifications. The scope of planned construction includes but is not limited to: all security system requirements including providing Lenel proximity card readers and components to maintain compatibility with the current Lenel security system. Contractor shall provide card reader, electric strike, release to exit sensor, door contact .Lenel 1300 control board and all wiring ,conduit, programming and appurtenances necessary to connect the new card readers into the existing Lenel security system. Contractor will provide electrical and shall repair doors, door frames, walls and ceilings where impacted by this project. Construction will be in accordance with existing approved plans and specifications. This project is called "Install Door Access Card Readers " and has project number 618-12-500. Interested parties shall note that a site walk is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday , May 29, 2012 commencing at at 10:00AM .from the Visitors desk in the flag atrium of the main hospital building. Confirmation of the site walk date and time will be included in any solicitation issued. Any acquisition that follows this pre-solicitation notice will be conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15 - Contracting by Negotiation and Part 36 - Construction and A-E Contracting, and other applicable regulations. Offers will be evaluated on a best value basis, in which technical factors are more important than past performance, past performance is more important than project team, project team is more important than schedule and schedule is more important than price.
