Pre-solicitation announcement for the Department of Veterans Affairs, FHCC, North Chicago, Illinois is hereby issued. An Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about Jun 25, 2012 for a Firm Fixed Priced, Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for small construction projects for a base period of one year .VA will issue individual task orders against this contract and contractor shall provide all tools, equipment, materials, labor and qualified supervision to complete the projects. Work will include but not be limited to interior renovations, carpentry; asphalt and concrete paving; roofing; excavation; carpet, window, door installation; painting; and stucco; demolition; masonry and fire protection construction. Minimal electrical, mechanical, plumbing and asbestos abatement work may be performed. Individual construction projects will be between $2,000 and $500,000 and the maximum contract price shall not exceed $4,999,000.00 and the guaranteed minimum contract value is $2,000.00.
