General Details on this Teaming Opportunity
The proposed construction for the Absecon Inlet storm damage reduction project consists of constructing sections of steel sheet pile bulkhead fronted by a large stone revetment placed on large scour protection mats. The project is located on the Absecon Inlet frontage of Atlantic City from Oriental Avenue to Atlantic Avenue, totaling 1,100 linear feet. All work will be performed in the marine environment and at exposure to the tidal waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Work may include, but is not limited to: driving of large steel sheet pile wall; removal of existing stone; excavation; placement of articulated concrete block mattress; placement of steel channel cap; placement of reinforced concrete slab for overwash protection and concrete flowable fill; placement of 9T capstone and R-8 stone fill; extension or new placement of storm water outfalls and catch basins; installation of wooden decking and timber supports; installation of protective railings; and the demolition and removal of wood and concrete piles and remnant boardwalk structure.
