General Details on this Teaming Opportunity 

This is a pre-solicitation announcement for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Richard L Roudebush VA Medical Center, located in Indianapolis Indiana. An Invitation for Bid will be issued on or about May 24, 2012 for construction project 583-12-159 "Upgrade BMS to Digital Control" at the Richard L Roudebush VA Medical Center, 1481 W. 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202. The Upgrade BMS to Digital Control project 583-12-159 consists of upgrading the hospital-wide pneumatically-controlled heating and cooling systems to Direct Digital Control and to upgrade the remaining Johnson Controls Metasys system to the existing open protocol Johnson Facility Explorer Building Automation System. This project also includes the replacement of all pneumatic actuators and controls for the entire hospital VAV / FCU system and replacement of the remaining Johnson Metasys network and end device controllers. This includes replacement of NC's 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, and 11, as well as approximately 40 DCM panels and AHU Controllers. Once available, see all project drawings and specifications for phasing, construction requirements and specific details. Completion Time: 270-calender days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Prior to commencing work, the contractor receiving award shall provide proof that an OSHA certified "competent person" (CP) (29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2) with 30-hour OSHA certification will maintain a presence at the work site whenever the general or subcontractors are present. All employees of general contractor or subcontractors on site shall have the 10-hour OSHA certified Construction Safety course.
