General Details on this Teaming Opportunity
This solicitation and any resultant contract is a stewardship project in accordance with Section 323 of Public Law 108-7 (16 U.S.C. 2104 Note, as revised February 28, 2003 to reflect sec. 323 of J.J. Res. 2 as enrolled), the Consolidated Appropriations Resolution, 2003, amending Public Law 105-277, Sec. 347. This is a commercial item acquisition that has been tailored to fit the Government's method of trading goods for services. DESCRIPTION OF WORK - Work includes salvage of trees on 76 acres using a designation by description prescription that would remove dead and dying trees. A ground-based logging system will be used to remove the logs. Supplemental funds will be applied, and funds received from the sale of logs will be retained and applied, to accomplish fuels treatment. PROJECT LOCATION - The project area is located within the Mt. Adams Ranger District of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, within T. 7 N., R. 10 E., Sections 1, 2, and 11; T. 8, R. 10 E., Sections 35 and 36, W.M., Surveyed, Yakima County, Washington. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE - from date of contract award through December 31, 2013.
