In a partnership with the Oak Ridge Public Library, the American Museum of Science and Energy is offering free admission to Oak Ridge Public Library cardholders.  The partnership is designed to make the American Museum of Science and Energy accessible to all Oak Ridge residents and to encourage them to have a library card.

“The Library is pleased to partner with the AMSE to offer this service. Every resident of Oak Ridge needs a library card and this is another benefit of library membership, “says Library Director, Kathy McNeilly.

The AMSE Library Pass provides free admission for up to 2 adults and 2 children, 5 – 18 years old, per visit and is good for one visit during the 1 week loan period.  Two passes are available for check out from the main desk, ask the librarian on duty for its availability.

About American Museum of Science and Energy
The American Museum of Science and Energy, located at 300 South Tulane Avenue in Oak Ridge, is open Monday - Saturday from 9 am - 5 pm and Sunday 1 - 5 pm.  Admission is Adults $5, Seniors (65+) $4, Students (6-17) $3 and Children (5 and under) free.  AMSE members are free.  Group rates are available for 20 or more with advance reservations.  AMSE memberships good for 12 months from purchase date, are Family $40, Grandparents $35, Individuals $25, and Family & Friends $75.  AMSE members receive unlimited AMSE visits and free admission to 250 museums that participate in the ASTC Passport Program.  AMSE members receive discounts on Discovery Shop merchandise, discounts on camps, classes, workshops and birthday parties.  For more information on AMSE memberships, exhibits, programs and events, go to www.amse.org to schedule a group visit, call AMSE at (865) 576-3200.
