Encore Dinner Theatre & Club Now Open in Old Town Tustin

 Elegant dinner theatre returns to Orange County with the opening of Encore Dinner Theatre & Club in Old Town, Tustin.

 Encore Dinner Theatre & Club offers a wide range of live entertainment, including professionally-produced Broadway musicals, musical revues, stand-up comedy, and variety acts.

 The newly remodeled theatre boasts a new gourmet menu, updated décor, an exquisite dining room with retractable chandeliers, a full bar, a lobby lounge, and more. The venue is available to rent for business meetings, gala dinners, and other special events.

 UPCOMING EVENTS

Encore’s first foray into original entertainment is Big Band Swing Revue, a delightful journey back to the era when the sound of Big Band Swing dominated the dance floor and captured the pulse of the nation. Big Band Swing Revue features a live 13-piece big band orchestra, professional swing dancers and tap dancers, vocalists, and video projections designed to transport audiences back to the 1930s and 40s.

Big Band Swing Revue runs through July 29. 

 On Friday and Saturday evenings after the regular show, the Encore Comedy Club comes to life, presenting the finest stand-up talent in Southern California as well as nationally-touring headliners.

Performances are Thursdays at 8 p.m., Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 1:30 p.m.

 BEHIND THE SCENES

Encore Dinner Theatre & Club is headed by Executive Producer Conwell S. Worthington II, who is also chairman of Cornerstone Entertainment. Also involved is Producer Kerry McCullough, who works with Worthington at Cornerstone Entertainment.  

 Throughout his four decade career as producer, director, manager, and stage manager of live theatre and live entertainment throughout the country, Worthington has worked with a variety of notable names including such legends as Tony Bennett, Victor Borge, Robert Goulet, Lena Horne, Beverly Sills, Red Skelton, Bernadette Peters, Milton Berle, Dick Van Dyke, and many others.

 Worthington spent several years as Manager of Show Development for The Walt Disney Company, and then served as Producer of Disney Attractions. He also served as Associate Producer and then Producer of Walt Disney Theatrical Productions for the international tours of Beauty and the Beast.

 His directorial credits include: The National Tour and Broadway run of The King and I starring Yul Brynner; the National Tour of The King and I starring Rudolf Nureyev; Man of LaMancha in Coconut Grove, Florida starring Howard Keel; Man of LaMancha at the Paper Mill Playhouse starring Robert Horton; Dames At Sea starring Bernadette Peters; A Midsummer's Night Dream starring Mickey Rooney; The Glory of Christmas starring Debby Boone and Dean Jones; and The Glory of Easter starring Gregory Peck, Michael York, and Robert Reed.
