Erin Crocker Evernham has been driving race cars for nearly 25 years. She was born and raised in Wilbraham, Massachusetts. The youngest of five kids with a passion for anything sports related. She began racing quarter midgets at the age of seven.
Erin received her Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering in 2003 from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). After graduation, Erin chose to continue pursuing a career as a race car driver.In 2004, Erin became the first and only woman to ever win a World of Outlaws sprint car race. By 2005, Erin was signed to a full time development program in the NASCAR ranks. She then began her stock car career, earning five ARCA Series poles and 12 top five finishes in only 25 starts. She ran fulltime in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 2006 as well as making ten starts in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.
Since then, Erin has raced part time back on the dirt. She has also started doing some performance car testing for Hendrick Performance, which has allowed her to try road course racing along with some drag racing. She has also done some driving instructing at various levels. In addition to all this, Erin occasionally co-hosts Sirius Speedway on Sirius NASCAR radio and Winged Nation on MRN Radio.
Erin has a deep passion for racing and automobiles. Whether it’s cruising the streets in her 1967 Corvette or tearing up the dirt tracks across the country or walking around vintage car shows with her husband Ray, she enjoys all of it!
