Waukegan Tire's Julie Scroggins Receives M2W Full Circle Award

Vice President of Illinois tire retailer Waukegan Tire and founder of Tuberous Sclerosis charity Bcureful, Julie Scroggins was honored today as the recipient of the 2012 M2W® Full Circle Award, which was presented at the 2012 M2W® Conference in Chicago, Illinois (http://m2w.biz/). The M2W® Full Circle Award is given to brands who have best demonstrated how M2W® has impacted their marketing to women strategies and campaigns.

Each year M2W® honors the best speakers, the attendees that turned what they learned at the conference into powerful marketing tools for their brands, and also women who have done something bold and new that made a difference in our world. Julie joins Kelly Grinnel, Associate Marketing Manager, ACDelco, 2011's winner, as well as past winners from Harley-Davidson, Motorola and Ghirardelli Chocolate as recipients of this award.

Julie Scroggins is Vice President and CFO of Waukegan Tire & Supply Company Inc. headquartered in Waukegan, IL. Julie has worked in the tire & wheel industry for over thirty years, alongside her father, Jerry Nerheim. She was encouraged from a very young age to learn all that she could about the business, about cars and to be self reliant. She has fond memories of being required to learn how to change the tires and the oil in the 1978 family station wagon before she could apply for her driver’s license. Julie is proud that all four Waukegan Tire locations are Certified Female Friendly through Ask Patty.com. Staying current with vendor training and industry certifications is something that she prides herself on. She is the founder of the tiresandheels.com website, which provides clinics and education to women on a variety of automotive subjects, and in 2011 she founded Bcureful, a 501(c)(3) charity that benefits Tuberous Sclerosis research.
