The second component is the Rope. Rope is essentially a group of strands of fiber or wires, twisted or braided together to form a single pliable member. There are two basic divisions of rope material. The first is organic or plant derived. (example: Sisal, Hemp, Cotton, Manila) Second is synthetic or man made, which is more commonly used today. (example: Nylon, Dacron/Polyester, Polypropylene, Kevlar) There are several big differences between organic and synthetic rope fibers.
