Bend, OR - High school teams all throughout Central Oregon will hit the fields this Friday to kick-off the 2012 season with one of America’s most-watched sporting events of all time…football! Local high school games are what many families, friends, and even area alumni, love to watch every chance they get.
Those fans, and perhaps even some new ones, are in for a pleasant surprise. COTV will now produce all the games in full HD (High Definition) and 5.1 Surround Sound and televise them live every Friday night on BendBroadband COTV channel 611 (also available on channel 11.) Rebroadcasts will be available for cable subscribers to watch again in free local Video On Demand.
The first of many live high school football games to be broadcast in HD and Surround Sound starts this Friday night at 7:00pm when the Bend High Lava Bears host the Marist Spartans. “We’re excited to bring this kind of quality and to be the exclusive providers of high school sports football coverage,” shared Zolo Media Production Manager, Greg Fair. “With our new mobile production vehicle and our experienced team, we are looking forward to covering a great season!”
COTV Sports will also begin a series of special features that will air during half time. In this season opener, learn the remarkable story of the boy from Liberia, John “JJ” Johnson, who despite pushing through many challenges, including being legally blind, has become one of the key members of the Bend High Football team.
