Platinum-selling singer/songwriter Richard Marx takes the stage alongside 20 strings for a solo acoustic performance at Blue Chip Casino, Hotel & Spa, Michigan City, Indiana, on Saturday, February 4 at 8 pm CT at the Stardust Event Center. Doors open at 7 pm.
Tickets are on sale now for $30, $40 and $55 at Ticketmaster.com and at the Blue Chip Gift Box in the Blue Chip Casino pavilion. Guests must be 21 or older, with a valid state or government issued photo ID.
Since he kicked off his career as a solo artist in 1987, Richard Marx has made his mark on the music industry. His debut single, “Don’t Mean Nothing” and self-titled debut album sold 3 million copies in 1987. His 1989 follow-up CD, “Repeat Offender,” became even more successful, selling over 7 million copies worldwide. From 1987 to 1990, he became the first male solo artist in history to have his first 7 singles reach the top 5 on Billboard’s singles chart, including the 1 hits “Hold On to the Nights,” “Satisfied” and the worldwide classic, “Right Here Waiting.”
In addition to selling over 30 million records, and writing thirteen #1 songs, he was nominated for Grammy awards 3 times and received an American Music Award nomination for favorite male singer. His latest release, just out in November, is “The Christmas EP.”
