Wide-open, unfenced country with 100-mile vistas and active riding are just some of the features of Blue Sky Sage horseback riding in Wyoming. Every week is a very hands-on experienced of free-spirited horsemanship, with no fences and no "nose to tail" trail riding. We ride good Horses, we have a lot of fun, and no one ever leaves thinking they haven't had enough time in the saddle! For over 12 years, avid horsewomen and horsemen have been coming out to our adult horse camps and riding with us to expereience for themselves the thrill and the unique opportunity to ride freely across the open range, many of them returning year after year for their riding horseback vacations. It would be our pleasure to have you join us and become a Blue Sky Sage rider!
Several features set a Blue Sky Sage horseback adventure vacation apart from the typical guest ranch or pack trip. The number of riders on each of these riding horseback vacations is limited to 6 (six), which makes for a more personal experience and is the reason we can offer you a safe, active ride across the wide-open spaces. You can travel by yourself and still enjoy an adventure with Blue Sky Sage; we mix folks from all over the world and it makes for a very personable and fun trip of horseback riding in Wyoming. Though the camp is definitely not a dude ranch, with cabins or a bunkhouse, the personal canvas range tipis (each person has their own) are nestled snugly amongst the pine trees with the soft hum of the river right out the front door, and a hot shower is just a step away. We prepare wonderful meals every day right at the cookhouse and horse de oeuvres' are presented at the afternoon cocktail hour, after the days' ride and before dinner. These are adult horse camps, so there is a minimum age of 16 years old, because our guests prefer an adult-oriented adventure, without youngsters.
Itineraries include the popular Girls Ride Out! All Women, the Horse Camp for Men & Women, Three-Dimensional Horsemanship Clinics, and Specials trips with various features. A new feature for 2012 is the Blue Sky Sage "Double Wade" Women's Saddle, which is currently in production, and will be introduced to guests for the first time this season.
