Charlottesville, VA (April 6, 2012)- The Mega Mile Auto Event opened on Thursday, April 5th with over 1,000 new and used vehicles being relocated to John Paul Jones Arena, all in the name of charity. Four local auto dealers have teamed up once again with the UVA Community Credit Union to host an auto sales event, even larger than the last. A portion of the proceeds from The Mega Mile Auto Event will go to support the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank & United Way -Thomas Jefferson Area.
Auto events of this magnitude give local shoppers a great advantage, as almost every top import and domestic auto manufacturer is represented. Shoppers have the opportunity for one-stop shopping of over one mile of great brands from Battlefield Ford, Brown Automotive, Colonial Auto & Jim Price Auto. Typically, this auto selection would be scattered throughout town, though for this limited time, the “mega mile” will make shopping more convenient than ever. In addition to the enormous selection all in one location, pricing has been lowered on every vehicle for this charity auto event.
Partnering with the UVA Community Credit Union will allow local dealers to provide customers with the most competitive financing rates in the market. “All four local dealers have done a great service for potential buyers by securing low auto prices for this sale,” says Tom Lincoln VP of Lending. “Car buyers can save thousands of dollars over the term of their low interest rate loan and credit union staff will be on site to offer assistance in any way possible. The credit union’s mission is to provide the lowest financing rates possible for all buyers and we are going to work tirelessly to secure great vehicle purchase options for everyone.”
Shoppers will be encouraged to bring out their walking shoes for this mega mile event, as over one mile of vehicles will be on display for as far as the eye can see. With over 1,000 cars, trucks, vans and SUV’s, at the largest auto event in Central Virginia, it will be hard for shoppers to not find exactly what they are looking for.
The Mega Mile Auto Event is set to be Charlottesville’s biggest auto event of the year and sales staff will be on site for extended hours on these 5 days, to accommodate early shoppers who are looking for the best deals on the lot. The Mega Mile will be closed on Sunday April 8th in observance of the Easter holiday.
