GOLDEN VALLEY, MINN. – In recognition of Jesus Christ’s journey from crucifixion to Risen Savior, the public is invited to several worship services during Holy Week and Easter at Calvary Lutheran Church, 7520 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley, Minn.
Easter services will be held on Sunday, April 8, at 6:30, 8, 9, 10 and 11 a.m.; a Spanish service will be held at 11:15 a.m. Holy Communion will be featured at the 6:30 a.m. service. AM980 KKMS will air a live radio broadcast of the 10 a.m. service.
Calvary youth will serve an Easter breakfast from 6:30 to 11 a.m. in the church’s Gym. The breakfast will include eggs, pancakes, sausage, fresh fruit and beverages, and will cost $6 for adults and $5 for children under 10. Proceeds will benefit Calvary’s senior high summer trip to Mazahua Valley Ministries in Mexico.
Worship services will also be held on:
- Maundy Thursday, April 5, at 5:30 and 7 p.m. (AM980 KKMS radio broadcast at 8 p.m.). Maundy Thursday will feature Holy Communion and a live portrayal of the disciple John, as well as a congregational dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The cost for the dinner will be $6 per person or $18 maximum per family.
- Good Friday, April 6, at 5:30 and 7 p.m. (AM980 KKMS radio broadcast at 8 p.m.). The services will feature artist Pastor Paul Oman, who will paint complete murals depicting Jesus’ crucifixion. A Spanish service will be held at 6:30 p.m.

Holy Week at Calvary will also feature a free art exhibit titled “I Love to Tell the Story.” Exhibit hours will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 7; and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Easter Sunday.
Friends and members of Calvary will display works of photography, painting, drawing, sculpture and calligraphy using such media as oil, acrylic, watercolor, ceramic, metal, glass, textiles and wood. Oman will be the exhibit’s featured artist. Learn more at calvary.org/artshow.
