Cartus Celebrates First Anniversary of its Acquisition of Primacy Relocation

DANBURY, CONN. - Cartus Corporation, the premier provider of global relocation management, will mark the first anniversary of its acquisition of Primacy Relocation LLC on January 21. The Primacy name was officially retired and changed to Cartus on Jan. 1, 2011 with the completion of Cartus' yearlong business integration efforts.

"This anniversary marks the culmination of an extremely energizing year," said Kevin Kelleher, president and CEO of Cartus. "The acquisition was conceived and undertaken as a growth strategy-one that would bring two industry leaders together to maximize the services and value that we could deliver to our clients and their mobile employees-and the strategy has certainly proven successful."

Cartus has strengthened its position as a one-stop provider of global relocation services with an expanded global presence, enhanced capabilities to deliver cost-effective, on-the-ground services worldwide, a broader product base, and an organizational structure that reflects the leadership expertise from both entities. Kelleher pointed to the more than 100 new clients that Cartus won in 2010 and expanded engagements from nearly 300 existing clients as important indicators of the market's strong acceptance of the new, larger company.

One year after the acquisition, the new Cartus includes:
 A corporate client base comprised of more than 50% of the Fortune 100;
 Leadership in the public/government markets;
 Management of more than 140,000 transferees annually;
 2,800 employees worldwide; and
 Worldwide offices in more than 20 key locations

Market share and growth are not the only measures of the union's success, according to Kelleher. He added, "Overseeing our integration as a single company has been tremendously rewarding. We worked closely across the two companies, and with our clients, to understand what makes each of us unique in the market so we can continue to meet our primary goal: delivering the highest standards of excellence to all our constituencies-our clients, our employees, and our industry."

An internal joint task force also studied each company's corporate culture and recommended ways to build relationships and trust between the two legacy companies' global employee bases.
