The Economics Against Abuse Program provides financial training and economic information for battered women so that they may become financially literate and economically self-sufficient.
"Sistercare is very grateful for funding from the Kershaw County Endowment because it helps provide survivors of domestic violence with new knowledge about personal finances, basic money management skills, employability, and the ability to become financially independent," said Leah McKee, Sistercare's grant manager.
Sistercare's other programs include children's services, community counseling services, community education and awareness, emergency shelters, Hispanic outreach services and more.
