crowdSPRING, the world's #1 marketplace for buyers and sellers of creative services who need custom logo designweb design, company names or other writing and design services, has been named as an Official Honoree by the 16th Annual Webby Awards for the content on its business blog http://blog.crowdspring.com and nominated for the prestigious Rising Star award for the Illinois Technology Association (ITA) CityLIGHTS award.

The Webby Awards, which recognizes the best the Web has to offer, will honor winners and honorees at a star-studded ceremony at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on Monday, May 21.   Presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), The Webbys shine a spotlight on those driving creative, technical and professional progress on the Web. The New York Times describes these awards as the "Internet's highest honor."

ITA CityLIGHTS awards are presented to an individual or business that actively and consistently supports the growth of the Illinois technology industry through demonstrated collaborative involvement that brings a spotlight on the community.  The CityLIGHTS award winners will be announced on May 3 followed by a gala on May 10 in the Great Hall at Chicago Union Station.

"It is an honor to be recognized for two major awards in one week, and a testament to our team, who are truly committed to making crowdSPRING a global success and providing the best products and service to our customers and creatives,” said Mike Samson and Ross Kimbarovsky, co-founders of crowdSPRING.  “Since 2008, we’ve been focused on finding ways to share quality content on marketing, social media, business strategy and design with a small business audience and it’s gratifying to know the hard work we’ve put into this blog is appreciated and that we are successful in reaching our audience and offering them valuable information.”

crowdSPRING, which has set the standard for crowdsourcing innovation and creativity in design and writing, recently was named one of the top Internet marketing companies in the WordStream Internet Marketing 150, for being a proven, innovative solution to the various marketing challenges that businesses face today. This is the second time crowdSPRING has been named an official honoree of the Webby Awards.  The first time was in 2009 at the 13th Annual Webby Awards in the Services and Applications category.  During the same Awards year, crowdSPRING was also nominated as one of five companies in the Webby’s Community category.   This is the second nomination for crowdSPRING for ITA’s CityLIGHT’s Rising Star award.
