At 5 a.m. Friday, the National Weather Service in Riverton released a hazardous weather outlook for Western and Central Wyoming, including the Lander foothills, the Wind River Basin including Dubois and the East slope of the Wind River Range.
The NWS said a weather system would moved through the area Friday afternoon and Friday night bringing with it snow over the north late this morning with light to moderate snowfall developing southward this afternoon and tonight. Cold temperatures are expected to occur behind the system.
For the weekend and early next week, forecasters are predicting a chance for light snow over most of the region Sunday and Sunday night, with areas of gusty winds and another shot of cold temperatures.
