NEW YORK - Digitas, the leading global integrated brand agency with digital at its core, is being honored in several different categories at the Webby Awards, the leading international award competition for excellence on the web.
The “Unstaged” campaign with American Express, Momentum, and EMI Music is a finalist for the “Events & Live Webcasts” award in the “Online Film & Video” category. As a finalist, the campaign is also eligible for the Webby People’s Voice Awards, where the public votes online for one winner in each of the four categories (Websites, Interactive Advertising, Online Film & Video, and Mobile & Apps).
In addition, several Digitas campaigns have been named Official Webby Honorees. With nearly 10,000 entries received from over 60 countries, the Official Honoree distinction is awarded to the top 15% of all work entered that exhibits remarkable achievement. The agency has been honored in several categories for its work with American Express, General Motors, Miller Lite, and more.
Digitas Leads Digital Content Innovation
Digitas’ success at the Webby Awards reinforces the agency’s continued digital content leadership. This week kicks off the first ever Digital Content NewFronts, a two-week long online video marketplace and collaboration that Digitas has pioneered with founding partners AOL, Google/YouTube, Hulu, Microsoft Advertising, and Yahoo!.
As part of DCNF, Digitas will host its own fifth annual NewFront event, which will bring together brands, talent, content creators, and more. This year's program, "Big Content: From Video Bloggers to Blockbusters" will showcase how longer-form digital content continues to make inroads into prime time viewing. And, how distribution models morph with the arrival of mobile, tablet and social interactions. In 2011, the Digitas NewFront led to more than 60 meetings between leading brands and content creators to forge deals and foster ideas, and more than 250,000 people tuned in to the conference itself via livestream.
