Profile, weight, and design speak for themselves. The Huascaran ski extends DYNAFIT‘s series of wide skis and yet remains true to the stringent demands of low weight and speed. The core of bamboo and beech stringers, and the rocker design at the tip and tail result in an aggressive ski which unites all the features of cutting edge ski techno- logy.

The Huascaran is designed for skiing thrills across every type of terrain. Its unusual design gives a strong hint of the immense work that went into the construction: the snow leopard fish symbolizes the combination of aggressive ski and low weight. Snow leopard fish? The symbol for the ski is taken from a Peruvian myth which combines the respective strength of land animals and ocean fish. The wide profile of 114 millimetres at the middle of the ski provides ample lift, yet at 1,850 grams the ski is feather-light in its category. The ski is also flexible in terms of the conditions it can cope with. Whether steep, icy precipices, powder descents, or snow crust, the Huascaran rocks its way through.

The superlight Isocore Paulownia timber core, in combination with a titanal plate and a semi-sidewall design, en- sure the required torsional rigidity and smooth gliding. The scoop rocker construction, with a smoothly increasing radius up to the tip of the ski, as well as the rocker design at the tail end, is virtually unique in ski touring design. Not only does it give the model a comfortable feel when skiing but ensures that it is also very forgiving of errors. DYNAFIT also stands out with the triple radius construction; a radius which varies across three distinct zones. The relatively small radius of 20 metres in the area of the binding proves particularly good in wide skis as it provides perfect edge grip across challenging terrain. At the same time, the ski touring specialists have given much consi- deration to making a ski which can easily slide into and out of a curve: the triple radius, which has a large radius towards the ski tip, and a smaller radius to the back end, makes it easier to carve down a slope. Let`s rock!
