Michael Baach is the President of The Philpott Rubber Company, located in Brunswick Ohio. He was appointed to that position in September 2009 after serving as a Philpott senior executive since 2007. In 2006, Baach assisted Mayor Jane Leaver in establishing the City of Medina's Economic Development Department of which he served as its Director. In 1984, he co-founded and served as Executive Vice President of Corrpro Companies, located in Medina, OH. Corrpro was listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 1992 on its way to becoming the global leader in providing corrosion prevention strategies.
Mike is active in the Greater Medina Chamber of Commerce, currently serving as Past Chairman of the Board. He also is on the Board of Directors of the Houston headquartered NACE International, formerly known as The National Association of Corrosion Engineers. He brought the idea of creating a 4-year bachelor's degree on corrosion engineering to the University of Akron, which was launched in 2010 as first of its kind. He holds four (5) US and European patents and has presented technical papers on asset preservation throughout the world.
Mike is a member of the 2007 class of Leadership Medina County. He and his wife, Jamie, reside in Medina Township.
