Small Business: 3 Reasons to Sell Your Company in 2012

Many small business owners and entrepreneurs have come out of the Great Recession well.  But the financial and emotional sacrifices have taken a huge toll.

Rick Sippola, Chautauqua Consulting says that now may be an excellent time to sell your company. In fact, there are three very good reasons to do so:

  1. The economy is slowly coming back and buyers are out there looking for potential deals.
  2. The lending environment is good.
  3. Capital gains tax rates are low, but may increase in 2013, saving the seller thousands of tax dollars.
