Born and raised in Willoughby, Ohio and a graduate of South High School, Tom Anderson had a dream. He wanted to be a writer for the "Newhart" show, and decided to go to Hollywood to make his dream come true. The only problem was he had no place to live and virtually no money.
Tom certainly lived his dream. He became a writer for "Newhart", then for "Cheers". In fact he became the Executive Producer for "Cheers", and was nominated for three Emmy's for "Outstanding Comedy", winning in 1992. He was Co-Executive Producer for "The Jeff Foxworthy Show", Executive Producer for "Living Single", and currently is the Executive Producer of the #1 comedy in England, "My Family".
