Fish & Richardson Principal Tara D. Elliott Named 2012 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellow

Wilmington, DE, May 2, 2012 – Fish & Richardson announced today that Tara D. Elliott, a principal in the firm’s IP Litigation Group, has been selected for the 2012 Fellows program of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD).  The LCLD Fellows program is designed to increase diversity at the leadership levels of the nation's law firms and corporate legal departments.

Inaugurated in 2011, the LCLD's Fellows program is a highly structured mentoring program with a goal of producing a diverse generation of up-and-coming attorneys with strong leadership and relationship skills who are committed to fostering diversity within their individual institutions and the profession at large.  A total of 134 attorneys from around the country were selected as LCLD Fellows for 2012.  Candidates selected to participate in the program have demonstrated high levels of initiative, a deep sense of engagement, and a trajectory directed toward leadership.

“At Fish, we have a long-standing commitment to diversity and we are very proud to have Tara participate as an LCLD Fellow,” said Peter J. Devlin, president of Fish & Richardson.  “She is a leader not only at Fish, but in the legal and business community.  Her passion and commitment to diversity will be of great value to this program.”

In her practice at Fish, Ms. Elliott focuses on intellectual property litigation and counseling across a range of technologies, including electrical and computer engineering.  She received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2003 and her B.S. in computer engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1998.
