MINNEAPOLIS – Airborne, Inc., a leading brand of over-the-counter immunity support supplements, has awarded its advertising account to Gabriel deGrood Bendt (GdB) after a private review that included two other undisclosed agencies.
“From the start, we were very impressed with the way GdB thinks, the strength of their creative, and their collaborative nature,” said Leah Stevenson, senior director of marketing communications for Airborne, Inc. “Though we’re both relatively small companies, we plan to do big things together, and GdB has a proven track record of simple, yet powerful creative ideas that drive growth.”
As part of its services for the Airborne® brand, GdB will handle brand strategy and advertising creative, including TV, print and digital as well as serving as the brand navigator working with the company’s other agency partners. Airborne, Inc. had reported measured media spending of $20 million.
“The Airborne brand is highly recognized in an increasingly competitive category,” said Tom Gabriel, agency CEO. “We’re excited about the challenge, and the opportunity to work with such an unusually passionate group of marketing people.”
The Airborne, Inc. win continues the agency’s new business momentum and a growing emphasis on health and wellness, a projected trillion-dollar industry with increasing sales growth year over year. GdB started its winning momentum in Q4 of 2011 – being awarded advertising duties for Anytime Fitness, the fastest growing fitness chain in the world, with over 1,600 clubs in more than 16 countries.
