Boulder, CO—GeoPalz, innovator of family pedometers and an online activity-tracking game is pleased to announce its partnership and revolutionary licensing agreement with DSR. DSR is the first company to launch GeoPalz’s patent-pending “Activity to Currency” platform for an Android phone App and a pending App for Google TV.
The App is called LockerBot™ and allows parents to set physical activity requirements to unlock features on Android phones and Google TV (coming soon). The App is compatible with Droid phone versions 2.1 or higher. The GeoPalz “Activity to Currency” platform allows children to turn physical activity into a currency redeemable for 3rd party offerings. The Android LockerBot App is launching the week of January 9th, 2012 during the Consumer Electronics Show and is now available on Android Marketplace for $0.99.
“We are so excited to bring these applications to market and to provide an important physical activity-based parental control feature to these devices,” says DSR VP of Operations Genie Peshkova. “These Apps will incentivize kids to be active and can instill a lifetime of health and wellness through balancing the media that kids want to consume with the physical activity that they desperately need.”
“DSR’s Parental Control App is only the beginning of what our technology can do,” says GeoPalz CEO Rich Schmelzer. “The GeoPalz Activity to Currency platform can be adapted to a variety of markets such as HealthCare, Gaming, Social Media and Consumer Electronics.”
