Key Industry Executives Join Founding Group

February 6, 2012 (Boston, MA) – Good Sports announced today the launch of its Sporting Goods Advisory Council created to help advance their goal of giving all youth the opportunity to play sports. 

“Sporting goods companies are key partners for us in executing our mission,” says Christy Keswick, Good Sports’ Chief Operating Officer.  “The expertise of the executives on this Council is a critical part of our strategy to ensure that we are creating mutually beneficial relationships for our valued partners while maximizing our impact on the community.”

The primary responsibility of this council will be to advise Good Sports leadership on industry issues, needs and requirements; provide thoughtful leadership in developing innovative concepts and strategic direction, and help communicate and promote Good Sports’ mission and programs. “With the diversity and experience base of this Advisory Council in the sporting goods industry, it is my expectation that we will be able to offer Good Sports key industry insights that will add value to an already invaluable organization,” says Dan Touhey, President, PSI91 (Under Armour Inflatables Licensee).

The founding members of the Council include:

•             Fran Allen—Senior Vice President of Global Sales, Saucony, Inc

•             Donna Flood—Chief Operating Officer, Easton-Bell Sports

•             Tom Howard—former Sales & Marketing Director at KT Sports/AMF division of Sportcraft

•             Dan Touhey—President, PSI 91 (Under Armour Inflatables Licensee)

•             Dave Rossi—Chief Operating Officer, Pivotal 5
