Grande Custom Ingredients Group Will Highlight Taste and Texture Solutions at IFT 2012

Grande's Innovative Dairy Ingredients Resolve Taste and Texture Challenges for Producers

LOMIRA, Wis. - Grande Custom Ingredients Group will demonstrate how its natural and versatile dairy-based ingredients enhance taste and texture in challenging product applications during the 2012 Institute of Food Technologists Annual Meeting & Food Expo.

Food Scientists from Grande CIG will demonstrate the solutions their products make possible at booth 2255 throughout the convention, which runs from June 25-28 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Grande CIG will exhibit how one of its newest products, Grande® Grade A Yogurt Powder, and one of its most versatile products, Grande Bravo® whey proteins, can be used to deliver the taste and texture consumers demand while helping formulators meet challenges such as reducing fat, calories or cost.

Visitors to the Grande CIG booth will see firsthand how Grande Bravo® can improve the mouthfeel and texture of a low fat creamy tomato basil soup. By using Bravo, the food scientists at Grande were able to enhance both the flavor of the soup and the creamy mouthfeel.

Grande® Grade A Yogurt Powder be featured in two applications at the Grande CIG booth.

In the first, Grande CIG staff will show a yogurt coating for dried fruit, nuts, and bars using Grande® Grade A Yogurt Powder. The Grande Yogurt Powder provides a tart, authentic yogurt flavor to the coating. 

Grande® Yogurt Powder will also be used to create a shelf stable orange-mango and yogurt smoothie. In this application, Grande® Yogurt Powder is used to provide a thick and creamy yogurt texture with an authentic yogurt flavor.

  • Dips & Dressings – Adds texture, creaminess, and yogurt flavor in cold or heat processed systems, without using perishable yogurt
