MARINA DEL REY, Calif.— The custom sushi shop, How Do You Roll?, plans to be rolling in Marina del Rey by the end of February. The restaurant will be located at 4730 Lincoln Blvd., giving area sushi fans an opportunity to join the sushi rebellion by creating their own rolls with unique ingredients.
“The concept is exciting,” said Brad Wayne, franchise owner. “And I’m excited to bring delicious sushi rolls that are healthy and satisfying to the community at a reasonable price.”
How Do You Roll? offers a modern twist to the traditional Japanese cuisine. Upon entering the restaurant, consumers follow a line and build their own sushi rolls with many unique ingredient choices. Rolls are served in ten pieces and the average meal costs $8 to $11.
Because guests have complete control over their rolls, How Do You Roll? accommodates many dietary needs such as gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan. Additionally, there are many combinations that are low-calorie. Newcomers to sushi, and those who shy away from raw fish, will be surprised to find chicken and beef, whereas sushi aficionados can enjoy more typical-to-sushi options.
