On Thursday, May 17 at 3 p.m. Dunlop will be presenting, “Engaging Females Through Blogs and Social Media Channels.” Sharing the podium with Dunlop will be co-presenter Brooke Tyson Hynes, Vice President of Public Affairs and Communications for Tufts Medical Center. The presentation will demonstrate how healthcare organizations can reach busy female consumers by engaging them through the use of new media tools
including blogs, online videos and social media. In addition, the presentation will show how Tufts Medical Center, Lowell General Hospital and Signature Healthcare are currently using blogs and new media to engage one of their most important audiences: moms. Attendees will also learn how blogs can help to drive the growth of an organization’s social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube) and become a vital element in their strategic marketing program.
To help wrap-up this year’s NESHCo Symposium, Dunlop will be presenting “Building a New Brigade: Using New Media to Entice Referring Physicians” as the closing session on Friday, May 18 at 11 a.m. The presentation will focus on how hospitals can best integrate contemporary marketing tools such as online videos and social networks into their traditional marketing efforts when seeking to engage referring physicians. Attendees will learn how to balance the best of traditional and new media to communicate with referring physicians and their staff.
