Winston Schwartz, president of Winston-James Development, Inc., which developed the Aloma Business Center, said the Scott Lawn Care franchise recently closed on an expanded lease agreement that totals 1,876 square feet of office and industrial space.
Schwartz said service industry expansions are taking place all across the Central Florida region. At Beville Road Business Park in South Daytona, the Molly Maid franchise recently doubled its space to 1,050 square feet.
“The national economy is recovering and small businesses are leading the recovery,” Schwartz said. “These are tiny companies that usually employ fewer than 20 people but they are the heartbeat of the economy in Central Florida,” Schwartz said.
