To enter, participants must simply "like" the Trex Facebook page between now and July 15, 2011 and submit a photograph of their front porch "decked out" in patriotic flair. Existing fans may enter by clicking on the "Patriotic Porch" tab. Starting July 16, fans can vote on a winner by commenting on their favorite image once a day. Trex will award the lucky participant whose image receives the most votes with two rocking chairs and a matching side table in the color of their choice from the Trex Outdoor FurnitureT collection. The voting period ends July 24, and Trex will announce the official winner on July 26.
The "Patriotic Porch" contest comes as Trex moves beyond the backyard with an integrated system of porch components and accessories. New Trex Transcend Porch Flooring and Railing System brings the superior durability and aesthetics of Trex Transcend, the number one brand of beautiful, high-performance decking and railing materials, to the front of the home, with virtually gap-free floor boards with universal hidden fasteners, coordinating post and railing options and TrexTrimT beadboard and mouldings. Combine with beautifully crafted Trex Outdoor Furniture, which now includes rocking chair and porch swing pieces, and the result is a complete, finished look for the front of the home.
"Nothing says the Fourth of July quite like a front porch draped in red, white and blue," said Adam Zambanini, vice president of marketing at Trex. "What better way to introduce our Transcend Porch system to the public than with a contest displaying patriotic pride."
