Herndon, Virginia; March 13, 2012: Mascot Books announces the release of Grandma Mae and the Magic Cookies, an inspirational children’s book written by Debbie Satnick, a real estate manager.
Tara’s day started out like any other. That is until Grandma Mae showed up! All Grandparents make things extra special, but Grandma Mae is downright magical. At the end of a fun-filled day of making cookies and visiting a farm, Tara meets someone she’ll never forget. Join Tara and Grandma Mae on a special trip filled with love and magic.
When asked why she wrote this book, Debbie Satnick had this to say; “My purpose for writing this book was twofold. I want children to always remember their loved ones, friends, and relatives that are no longer with them. I know after 9-11 there were so many young children who lost loved ones. They were too young to have formed their own memories about these people, and now - ten years later- they can always remember them through pictures and stories they see and hear about them. My own Grandmother, who is turning 105, has always taught me to cherish family and tradition. Through her stories and pictures we have kept my Grandpa Max alive in our hearts even though he has been gone for almost 40 years. This book is a tribute to all children needing to hold on to loved ones.”
Debbie Satnick published this unique book through the Mascot Books Author Program. The Mascot Books Author Program allows prospective authors to publish their children’s books in a way that combines the freedom of self-publishing with all the support a publishing industry leader has to offer.
