Herndon, Virginia; May 1, 2012: Mascot Books announces the release of The Klampie Mystery, a children’s book written by Luis Rodriguez, a child care professional.

Samantha and her parents go on an adventure ‘down under’ to Australia. Samantha gets a stuffed koala and names it "Klampie" since his arms clamp onto anything, like a real koala. Follow Samantha as she is amazed by the differences between the two countries. Something unexpected happens on the plane ride home—the koala on Samantha's backpack turns out to be a real…a real mystery!

Luis Rodriguez wrote this book just to bring some joy to young children. Rodriguez says, “Once this is achieved, I also hope that as a result, Klampie contributes a little bit to promote love for reading. Love for books.”

Luis Rodriguez published this unique book through the Mascot Books Author Program. The Mascot Books Author Program allows prospective authors to publish their children’s books in a way that combines the freedom of self-publishing with all the support a publishing industry leader has to offer.
