The South Florida Women’s Transportation Chapter will host Aliza Pilar Sherman, Web pion3er and author of nine books including MOM, Incorporated: A Guide to Business + Baby and The Complete Idiot's Guide to Crowdsourcing. She will share techniques to help leverage technology to benefit women's professional and personal lives.

The event takes place Friday, June 8th from 11:30am to 1:00pm at Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port Hotel1825 Griffin Road, Dania Beach, FL 33004.

Sherman, who spends her summers in Tamarac, is an international keynote speaker and a digital marketing strategist since 1992. She is known for helping to pioneer the Internet for women in the 90s.  She founded the first woman-owned Internet company, Cybergrrl, Inc. and a global networking group for women called Webgrrls International. Newsweek named her one of the Top 50 People Who Matter Most on the Internet in 1995.

She is also known for her writings about women’s technology and business issues and her over 20 years of Internet marketing experience. Fast Company named her one of the Most Powerful Women in Technology in 2009.

Sherman most recently appeared in Orlando as a keynote speaker for the SheCon women's technology conference. She will also be teaching a workshop on getting booked as a speaker with her co-author Danielle Smith at the Type A Parent conference in Charlotte later in June.
