JANESVILLE, Wisconsin – Mercy Health System was recently named to the 2012 IMS Top 100 Integrated Healthcare Network (IHN) list. Mercy is among the top 10 health care systems in the Midwest to receive this distinction in 2012. This also marks the 11th consecutive year Mercy has been among the top 100 list of IHNs. The IMS Top 100 IHNs is based on critical success factors, including each network’s ability to operate as a unified organization in eight categories: integration, integrated technology, contractual capabilities, outpatient utilization, financial stability, services and access, hospital utilization, and physicians.
“It is a privilege to be recognized for providing excellent patient care and exceeding industry standards by IMS, and it is an honor that Mercy has a high ranking among the nation’s largest and most prestigious health care networks,” said Javon R. Bea, president and CEO of Mercy Health System. “We continue to serve as a leader among integrated health systems by providing the latest technology, the best medical experts and continuing to extend ourselves to exceed the best standards of health care excellence,” Bea adds.
IMS has been tracking the development of the local and regional, non-specialty IHNs market since April 1994 and surveys the universe of IHNs annually using a standard methodology for collecting the data and rating IHNs nationally on their performance level and degree of integration.
