NIIT earns 4th Consecutive Honor at Learning In Practice Awards

Managed Training Services Leader receives prestigious acknowledgment for E-Learning

ATLANTA, GA - October 14, 2011 - For the fourth consecutive year, NIIT is proud to have claimed the E-Learning Award at the Chief Learning Officer Awards. NIIT takes home the `Gold Medal' besting Development Dimensions International and RWD for the honor. NIIT has been honored in each of the past three award cycles for its work with Philips, Diageo and Yum Brands. Chief Learning Officer (CLO) magazine's annual "Chief Learning Officer Learning In Practice" awards were recently announced at the Fall Chief Learning Officer Symposium, on October 12, 2011 at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel, near Dana Point, California.

NIIT was recognized for its work with Shell. The solution developed by NIIT enabled the worldwide adoption of standardized workflows and technology in a customized application to optimize and streamline the planning process at Shell's Projects and Technology division. The Shell-Standard Primavera training has brought planners in the Global Planning Tools team one step closer to the `One Shell way of doing projects.' By enabling existing and new users to effectively utilize and execute the complex tasks and workflows of the application, the planning process at Shell smoothly transitioned from the traditional pattern of working in silos to a more technology enabled, efficient and collaborative process based on Shell's core ESSA guidelines and ultimately, drive business performance and results in that area.

"NIIT's mission to develop and deliver innovative business solutions to help clients accelerate business impact falls in line with our partnership with Shell," said Sapnesh Lalla, NIIT President and Business Unit Head. "Ultimately, our customers' success is what matters most. Exceeding our customers' expectations, delivering high levels of service and constantly improving what we do, is how we measure success."

A record number of nominations were received this year and were judged by industry experts and executives from some of the world's largest and most-respected companies. Norm Kamikow, president and editor in chief of Chief Learning Officer (CLO) magazine states, "The Learning in Practice Awards were established to recognize transformational and visionary leaders in enterprise education. The winners are the industry leaders who truly champion innovation and transform it into learning and value for their organizations."
