Welde is a member of ParenteBeard LLC's Philadelphia office and specializes in forensic accounting and litigation services. In addition to serving on many PICPA committees, he organizes charity golf events to raise money for children with cerebral palsy and for the Cardinal O'Hara Scholarship Fund. Welde, a King of Prussia, Pa., resident, earned a bachelor's degree from Drexel University and a master's degree in business administration from St. Joseph's University.

Scherf, a Bala Cynwyd, Pa., resident, earned a bachelor's degree from Temple University as well as a master's degree in finance and an advanced professional certificate in taxation from Drexel University.
Secretary: Carlo J. Silvesti, CPA, is assistant professor of accounting at Gwynedd-Mercy College in Gwynedd Valley, Pa. In addition to his PICPA volunteer service, he serves on the board of directors of St. John Vianney Center. Silvesti, a West Chester, Pa., resident, holds a bachelor's degree from St. Joseph's University and a master's degree in business administration from Temple University.
Treasurer: James (Jay) M. Brower Jr., CPA, is a partner with Gold Gocial Gerstein in Jenkintown, Pa. He was named one of the 40 Under 40: PICPA Members to Watch in 2008 and 2009. Brower earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's degree in taxation from Widener University. He resides in Swarthmore, Pa.
