PRESS RELEASE: Clarks Summit Resident Wins Service Award from Pa. Nonprofit

SCRANTON, Pa. - Robert M. Saunders, a certified public accountant, received a Volunteer Service Award from the Northeastern Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA).

Saunders, who was honored at the chapter's annual meeting on May 12, received the award for outstanding service and demonstrated contributions to the chapter and PICPA through active participation in volunteer opportunities. He serves on PICPA's Legislative Committee, CPA Image Enhancement Committee, and Marcellus Shale Technical Subcommittee at the state level. Saunders also serves on the Relations with Schools and Colleges Committee and the Membership Committee for PICPA's Northeastern Chapter. Saunders is also active in his community, serving on the Planning Commission for Waverly Township and co-chairing the playground project committee for Waverly Community House.

Saunders is a partner with Cunningham & Saunders PC in Blakely, Pa. He is a graduate of Rutgers University School of Business.
