Press Release: Questions This Tax Season?

PICPA's Ask a CPA Is a Free, Extensive Resource

PHILADELPHIA - Consumers have many tax questions this season. Fortunately there's a free online resource with answers that can help.

Ask a CPA, a free consumer service offered by Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), was created several years ago and now hosts answers to several hundred financial questions. Members of the general public - both individuals and small business owners - can view advice on tax, personal finance, and business topics at www.picpa.org/askacpa. If someone has a question with broad appeal that hasn't been addressed, he or she is encouraged to post it on PICPA's Ask a CPA page. The answer, from a Pennsylvania CPA, will be posted online within 10 business days.

Completing tax returns can be a difficult task, but free resources, courtesy of PICPA, are available to make the process as smooth as possible. In addition to Ask a CPA, PICPA has a tax resource page at www.picpa.org/consumertax. Consumers will find access to free brochures, videos, and links to important tax resources.
