Press Release: Resident of Center Valley to Lead Chapter of State Association

Other Area CPAs to Serve as Officers of PICPA's Lehigh Valley Chapter

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Jeffrey K. Herr, a certified public accountant, was elected president of the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) for the 2011-2012 fiscal year.

Herr is a senior vice president for National Penn Investors Trust Company in Allentown. He has been a PICPA member for almost two decades, and has been chair of the Personal Financial Planning Committee and a member of the Lehigh Valley Chapter Executive Committee. In addition to his volunteer leadership with PICPA, Herr is treasurer for Locust Valley Chapel in Coopersburg, Pa. Herr is a graduate of Messiah College.

Other 2011-2012 officers elected at the PICPA Lehigh Valley Chapter annual meeting include the following:
President-Elect: Rosemary Lamaestra, CPA, is a manager with Regan, Levin, Bloss, Brown and Savchak PC in Allentown. Pior to joining the Lehigh Valley Chapter, she chaired the Local Taxation and Government Relations Committee for the Reading Chapter. She is vice president of the Brandywine Heights Area School Board. Lamaestra, a Mertztown, Pa., resident, earned a bachelor's degree from Alvernia University.

Secretary: Edward D. Coleman, CPA, is director of tax accounting for Teleflex Inc. in Limerick, Pa. Coleman, a Macungie, Pa., resident, received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Villanova University.

Treasurer: David S. Markle, CPA, is a financial planner at McQueen Ball and Associates Inc. in Bethlehem, Pa. In addition to his service with PICPA, he is a Royal Rangers Leader and a Commander for Discovery Rangers for children in third through fifth grade. Markle, a Danielsville, Pa., resident, earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Scranton.
