Seattle, April 17, 2012 – Now that sophisticated attacks are targeting private and public sector alike, enterprise adoption of cloud computing is coming under more scrutiny than ever. At this week’s Cloud Fair 2012 Conference, PerspecSys CEO David Canellos will present examples of the risks associated with public cloud adoption and how enterprises can ensure data privacy and security while still enjoying the benefits of cloud computing. David’s session, entitled “Hackers, Hackers Everywhere: Is My Public Cloud Safe?” is open to all attendees and will take place on Day 3 of the conference.
David Canellos is president and CEO of PerspecSys Inc., a proven leader in cloud data protection solutions that removes the technical, legal and financial risks of placing sensitive company data in the cloud. With over 10 years experience in security technology – at companies such as Irdeto Worldwide, Cloakware and Cramer Systems – David has a unique perspective on integrating security and control solutions with business strategies to drive an increasingly connected workplace.
The 45-minute presentation, “Hackers, Hackers Everywhere: Is My Public Cloud Safe?” will tackle many of the key privacy and security issues that are now inhibiting cloud adoption in the enterprise. David will also provide best practices (many from PerspecSys customers) for making the cloud “enterprise-ready.” Key topics will include:
- The landscape of threats that exist for users of public cloud computing
- How enterprises are approaching the public cloud
- Innovative approaches to securing sensitive information while adopting the cloud
