(Pittsford, New York) November 15, 2010 - After owning one of Denver's leading modeling agencies and working as a fashion photographer, Rocky Greco migrated into the hair and fashion industry in Denver, Colorado. From the beginning of his days as a hair stylist, Rocky Greco has infused art (paintings, sculpture, drawings) into hair design, making the salon experience a highly personal and truly artistic experience, as he uses his personal art to adorn his salon space. After his children grew up and moved out, Rocky moved on to Santa Fe, New Mexico and then to Rochester, New York, where he employed the same model, marrying hair design and salon services with art.
A newcomer to Rochester, Rocky Greco started small with a two-chair salon in Pittsford and over a 5 year period, built his clientele significantly, as well as added chairs for other Rochester-based stylists who have their own followings and espouse the same holistic philosophy as Rocky. The Pittsford based Rocky Greco's Salon now boasts over twenty independent operators and a recent two thousand square foot second floor addition that enables additional services including skin, nails, makeup, massage and waxing, making it a full service salon.
The size of Rocky Greco's Salon clientele and commitment to the PhytoT line of hair care products from France make the salon one of the top purveyors of Phyto products in North America and upstate New York's only Phyto Concept Salon. The Phyto line hosts an array of hair care products that are botanically derived, scientifically researched and customized to address not only traditional hair care needs but also specific conditions (i.e. anti-aging, hair loss, ultra-dry hair, sun care). Rocky Greco's Salon has carved out "L'espace phyto", a dedicated space within the salon showcasing the Phyto hair scope, an interactive tool that magnifies hair 200 times and provides customers with a customized "hair Rx" and a better understanding of individual hair care needs.
