Rainbows For All Children Hosts the 4th Annual Power of the Purse

New York handbag designer and philanthropist, Michelle Vale, is the guest speaker

ITASCA, Ill. - Rainbows For All Children will host its annual “Power of the Purse – It’s All About Me” luncheon from 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., April 29, 2012 at Eaglewood Resort & Spa (1401 Nordic Road in Itasca, Ill).  The Women’s Board has created an event that brings all ladies together to enjoy a day of pampering and fashion.

The event includes dozens of vendors who will have their distinctive items for sale for endless shopping.  There also are countless raffle prizes that are unique purses filled with special items such as tickets, gift certificates and more.

The event culminates with a special presentation by Michelle Vale, New York couture designer of fashion-forward handbags, aptly named Michelle Vale, Inc.  Her handbags have adorned celebrities including Sarah Jessica Parker, Cameron Diaz and Kate Bosworth.  She also supports Rainbows by donating a portion of her proceeds from her new book, The Colors of Life.  The book aims to help children identify the complex feelings they have when their parents separate or divorce.

“We are excited and honored to have Michelle join us at the Power of the Purse luncheon,” said Suzy Yehl Marta, founder and CEO of Rainbows For All Children. “Events like this give us the ability to further our mission of supporting children and teens nationwide who are dealing with life-altering changes.”

Tickets purchased before April 15 are $60 per person and $70 thereafter.  To purchase an individual ticket or a table, please visit www.events.org/pop.  To learn more about Rainbows, please visit www.rainbows.org
