Track and Field athletes wanting a scholarship at the NCAA Division I level these days have to turn in times, heights, and distances that rival or really crush most high school performers around the United States. These days, as in 2012, an average time in the 100 meter dash or a good long jump personal best doesn’t cut it with Division I coaches. With budget cuts, the poor economy, and reduced athletic programs at all levels, including NCAA Division I, II, and III, plus NAIA programs, to get a track and field scholarship you have to almost literally be the best. To that end Upward Motion Personal Training is now offering their personal training program to Albuquerque track and field athletes. When the company sets up a program for a track and field athlete they gear it for their specific specialty including the field events, where the muscle groups in the event are targeted and the diet prescribed fits. Sprinters, pole vaulters, long jumpers, disc throwers and javelin throwers alike each are set up with a workout program tailor made for their specialty. In the workout program time frames with a schedule is set up to make the most of every minute spent working out. The goal in mind, if the athlete desires that goal, is to become the best and get the great scholarship.
