The Saskatchewan Economic Development Association (SEDA) announced the winners of its 2011 Economic Development Awards of Excellence at the 2011 Growing Saskatchewan Conference held October 17-19, 2011 in Saskatoon. Attended by over 200 community leaders, government officials and economic development practitioners from across the province, the Awards provided recognition of the outstanding initiatives and contributions to community economic development in Saskatchewan.
The 2011 SEDA Award winners are:
- Brian Woytiuk, Town of Unity - Citizen Achievement Award.Saskatchewan East Enterprise Region (SEER) - Regionalism and Cross Jurisdiction Collaboration Award.
- North Central Enterprise Region (NCER) - Business Retention & Expansion Award.
- Town of Unity - General Purpose Marketing Award for the under 60,000 population category.
Regina Regional Opportunities Commission (RROC) - General Purpose Marketing Award for the over 60,000 population category. - Saskatchewan East Enterprise Region (SEER) - Special Event Marketing Award.
- Regina Regional Opportunities Commission (RROC) - Internet Marketing Award.
The SEDA Economic Development Awards of Excellence program annually recognizes the province’s best economic development programs and partnerships, marketing materials, and the year's most influential leaders. This program honours municipalities, organizations and individuals, in 17 categories, for their efforts in creating positive change in our communities and regions.
