NILES, Ill., May 22, 2012 — Shure Incorporated today announced the winner of the Company’s inaugural “Get the Gig” internship competition. Purdue University senior Alexandria Monterrubio will be the new Artist Relations intern from May through August.

“After we completed the three rounds of our entry process – online applications, video auditions, and in-person interviews – it became pretty obvious that we had a clear winner,” said Cory Lorentz, Artist Relations Manager at Shure. “Alexandria is someone who’s very passionate about music, enthusiastic about the opportunity, and not afraid to roll up her sleeves and work hard. We’re looking forward to having her join our team for the summer.”

As the “Get the Gig” Artist Relations intern, Alexandria will assist the Shure Artist Relations team by providing support for social media initiatives, helping manage Shure artist endorsers, assisting in the evaluation of potential endorsers, and coordinating Shure-sponsored events, including clinics and trade shows.

“In my entire life, I don’t think I’ve ever wanted anything as bad as this,” said Monterrubio. “I lost count of how many times I went online to read the job description and thought this job was created for me. I am so grateful for this opportunity and know that working for Shure this summer is truly an honor.”

Alexandria can be followed on Twitter at: @Intern_ShureAR or on the Shure website at: http://www.shure.com/americas/artists/intern
