Actress NICOLE STANTON Joins Kellie Pickler and Wes Brown in Anticipated Hallmark Movie Sequel “WEDDING AT GRACELAND” Premiering on June 1, 2019
LOS ANGELES (May 17, 2019) – Actress Nicole Stanton joins Hallmark Royalty, Kellie Pickler and Wes Brown, in the anticipated romantic Hallmark TV movie sequel, WEDDING AT GRACELAND, premiering on Friday, June 1st.
WEDDING AT GRACELAND is the summer sequel to Hallmark’s smash 2018 holiday hit, Christmas at Graceland. The story picks up several months later as Memphis sweethearts, Laurel and Clay (Pickler and Brown), look to take their romance to the next level by getting married. With their sights set on a Graceland Chapel wedding with only 3 weeks to plan, they turn to her Northern and his Southern parents for “help”, including Laurel’s new step-mother Isabel Couper (Stanton) and father (David Keith). With the clock ticking and families clashing, can they turn this planning chaos into the wedding of their dreams?
With only a week between receiving the audition notice and stepping onto set in Memphis, the timeline for Stanton joining the WEDDING AT GRACELAND family was an exciting blur, to say the least. “It was an amazing cast and crew and quite unbelievable that the entire movie was shot in 15 days! A testimony to the professionalism of everyone involved,” Stanton shares. “It was wonderful to meet and work with Kellie. She brings so much to the table overall and in such a humble way. She was really open to work with as an actor. I also loved working with the director, Eric Close and how his sensibilities as an actor fed into his directing. He was always open to listen to the actors’ ideas for their characters. It’s great to have that common language from the get go.”
Since leaving her successful photography career behind, Stanton has been building a solid reputation for her talents. A Tampa, Florida native, she trained at Studio ACT at the esteemed American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, as well as with Jean Shelton, who taught such notables as Danny Glover and Peter Coyote, and went on to find success on both sides of the camera as an original member of the Studio C Company, founded by John Coppola. Stanton earned a ‘Best Actress’ award for her role in The Visit (COM Film Festival in Marin County) and gained attention for her roles in the ‘Grand Jury Prize’ winning Possibility (NY Int’l Indie Film and TV Festival) and ‘Best Film’ winner In the Shadows (Reel Women Film Festival). She starred as a Series Regular in the independent pilot, Bourbon Street; and produced, co-wrote and starred in the semi-autobiographical comedic web series, Spinster!, centered around a gorgeous, still single 40-something. Stanton is currently developing a top-secret office workplace comedy project.
On stage, Stanton has emerged with the well-known Sacred Fools Theater Company as part of their popular same-day show, Fast and Loose. She has honed her comedy chops studying and performing improv with the Groundlings and completing the full program at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade (UCB). Fueling her passion for laughter even further, Stanton has performed stand-up comedy at the Hollywood Improv and the World-Famous Comedy Store.
Nicole Stanton is represented by RSA Talent Management (Los Angeles) and PureFlare (Atlanta).
