Directed by Gil Junger and produced by James Middleton and Steven Gary Banks, TEEN SPIRIT follows Amber (Cassie Scerbo "Make It or Break It"), as a mean popular girl who gets electrocuted and dies and is not allowed to enter into heaven unless she helps Lisa (Shaw), the least popular girl in school, become Prom Queen within a week, but things do not go as planned. Young plays the unpopular Colin, a diminutive auteur filmmaker who makes claymation films with his best friend Lisa, but their friendship and their latest project is put in jeopardy by her newfound popularity.
Young was thrilled at this opportunity, commenting "I absolutely had a blast playing Colin and working in North Carolina on this project. I also got to go to my senior prom all over again on camera, which was a trip."
This Westlake, Louisiana native made his acting debut at the age of six, playing Sonny Flood in "The Dark at the Top of the Stairs". Young has been building a solid career on-screen since his first appearance in the horror feature "The Wedding Slashers." He has gone on to work in numerous other films, including "Secret Lover," Hit Factor," "Wages of Sin," "Atlantis Down," and the "The Replacement Child," which he was awarded Outstanding Performance by an Actor at the Winnipeg International Film Festival and Best Actor at the Barbados International Film Festival for his performance.
In addition, Young's voice-over abilities landed him a spot with one of the most exclusive `loop groups' in Hollywood. If you listen closely, you can hear his voice in over 25 films, including "There will be Blood, "Night at the Museum," "No Country For Old Men," "Happy Feet," and "The Fast and Furious."
